Ark of Light Food and Emergency Bank Opens Its Doors, Bringing Hope to Over 1,000 Families
On December 10th, 2023, the Ark of Light Food and Emergency Bank held its grand opening, marking a significant moment in the fight against hunger in lagos and its environs.
The pantry, brimming with essential goods, was prepared to serve over 1,000 families in need.
More than just food, the food bank aimed to provide support to struggling families. The shelves were not only stocked with staples like rice, beans, Garri, cooking oil etc but also with toys, clothes, and other essentials, ensuring families could receive comprehensive support during challenging times.
The convener, Dr Isaiah Macwealth, a lover of Jesus and people, an impeccable philanthropist. A man burning with passion for the less privileged, welcomed guests and other important dignitaries that graced the occasion.
The initiative highlights the growing need for food assistance in the community and the dedication of the Organization in addressing this critical issue.
The launch of the food bank signifies a crucial step towards ensuring that no family goes hungry and that everyone has access to the basic necessities they need to thrive.
The smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries lifted our spirits as we watched them dance and sing.
Families who woke up that morning not knowing how they would feed were comforted as they entered the fiod bank and their joy knew no bound.

The fight against hunger is almost an endless one but we believe and are determined to play our part in eradicating hunger.
